Meet Our Team

Kenneth Warren, President
Ken has worked in international education since 1992. He founded EP in 2002 after working for credential evaluation agencies, ECE (1992-1999) and WES (1999-2001). A frequent presenter at conferences in the US and abroad; he is a specialist in credential evaluation methodology, international systems of accreditation and recognition in higher education. Ken serves as Director-at-Large, Chair of Collaborative Relations and External Funding (CREF) for TAICEP. He has also served as VP of Standards for TAICEP and as a member of the ACE Board of EAIE. From 2012-2014 and 2018-2022, Ken was the Chairperson of NACES. He is the author of various academic guides including AACRAO Student Records Management: A Handbook and the Guide: A Resource for International Education Professionals.

He holds a B.A. in History and Russian Language from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His graduate education is in Public History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Bernard Ramos, Vice President
As Vice President, Bernard works to develop EP as a resource for international students and institutions alike, helping admissions offices to develop highly reliable practices in credential evaluation. Bernard currently serves on the Board of World Chicago. He has also served as Chair of AACRAO’s Asian Pacific Island Caucus. Bernard has presented at regional and national conferences and has conducted credential training workshops for numerous institutions over the years.

Bernard received his B.A. in International Studies from DePaul University and completed a Research Diploma on the EU Framework at Sciences-Po in Paris Institut D’Etudes Politiques de Paris.

Catherine Eccher, Director of Evaluations
Catherine has worked in credential evaluation at Educational Perspectives for over ten years. As the Director of Evaluations, she manages day-to-day operations of the Evaluation team. She has presented at various conferences and workshops on education systems around the world.

Catherine received her B.A. in Italian from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her M.S. in Public Service Management from DePaul University.

Cheryl Zolotar, Director of Operations
As Operations Director, Cheryl oversees daily activities to ensure all office processes are running smoothly. Cheryl has been with EP since 2011. Prior to joining EP, she served as Assistant Director of PLAC/Registrar at Kaplan University.

Cheryl holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Iowa and an M.S. in Management from Kaplan University.

Jennelle Dronkers, Director of Communications
As Director of Communications, Jennelle serves as primary liaison between EP and its current and prospective institutional and organizational partners. In her role, she focuses on building and implementing outreach strategies to communicate EP’s not-for-profit public service mission. Prior to EP, Jennelle worked in international admissions for Navitas UK and, more recently, served as an international student advisor at Loyola University Chicago.

Jennelle holds a B.A. in English from Florida State University and an M.A. in Journalism from Brunel University London.

Daniel Patlan, Certification Unit Manager
Daniel oversees the daily operations of the Certification Unit and the unit’s activities while supporting partners such as Digitary Core and CollegeNet-ApplyWeb. While an expert in all countries and fields, Daniel specializes in Latin-American and Australian education systems.

He earned his B.A. from Brooklyn College in New York City where he studied Political Theory and Constitutional Law. Before joining EP’s team and over the course of a decade, he developed and honed his professional skills while serving in esteemed institutions such as the New York City Commission on Human Rights, the New York Bar Association and Weill Cornell Medicine.

Kristina Zaluckyj, Translations Unit Manager
Since joining EP in 2013, Kristina has worked as an Evaluator and has previously managed the Certification Unit. In her current role as EP’s Translations Unit Manager, Kristina enjoys working directly with clients and customers while assisting them with their translation needs. She has presented and attended several NAFSA conferences and was a contributing author to The AACRAO International Guide: A Resource for International Education Professionals. Additionally, Kristina authored the 2019 NAFSA Online Guide to Educational Systems Around the World – Ukraine.

Before joining EP, Kristina worked in graduate admissions and as a Program Coordinator at a J-1 Work and Travel visa sponsor organization. She received her B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Russian Language. Kristina received her M.A. degree in International Studies at DePaul University and completed additional Ukrainian language studies at Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute of Harvard University. Kristina is fluent in Ukrainian, highly proficient in Russian and has limited working knowledge of Belarusian and Polish.

Esteban Torres-Medina, Evaluation Unit Manager
Esteban has worked at EP since 2021 and manages the daily operations of the Evaluations department, which assists many of EP’s individual applicants, as well as other client partners. While interested in learning all countries’ educational systems, Esteban has a keen interest in Latin American, Turkish, and French educational systems. Prior to working at EP, Esteban worked as a Test Center Administrator and in the education sector, as an English and Language Arts instructor and private tutor for students ranging from kindergarten to community college.

He holds a B.A. in English Literature from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in English Studies - Critical Theory from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
